👨‍💼 Role:  Archivist

💼 Experience: Relevant Museum or archival experience preferred

🎓 Qualification: History Graduates and profesionalas in conservation/archival sciences encouraged to apply.

✨ Key Responsibilities:

Collection Care & Preservation:

• Ensure the physical integrity and sanctity of archived objects.
• Follow and implement best practices in conservation and preventive care.
• Maintain optimal hygiene, cleanliness, and environmental standards within archive storage areas.

Record Management & Computerization:

• Maintain up-to-date documentation and cataloguing of all archived objects.
• Lead the computerization of entries using collection management systems.
• Assist in database management, tagging, and photographic documentation of items.

Archival Operations:

• Assist in the movement, storage, and secure handling of artefacts during exhibitions, conservation, or research projects.
• Support curatorial and research teams in locating, referencing, and interpreting archived materials.
• Participate in periodic inventory checks and reporting.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Experience in the museum, archival, or conservation sector will be highly valued.
• Familiarity with museum object handling, cataloguing systems.
• Graduates in History, Museology, Conservation with a strong interest in archival practices are encouraged to apply.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a disciplined approach to record-keeping.
• Comfortable with using digital tools, spreadsheets, and collection management software.
